Project Narrative:

Pelvic floor dysfunctions (prolapse, urinary and fecal incontinence) decrease the quality of life of 25% women. The main risk factor is vaginal delivery, causing mechanical disruption, ischemia, and denervation of pelvic floor. The clinical examination, ultrasound and MRI are used to evaluate pelvic floor. The aims are 1/ describe women at risk before delivery 2/ detect injury immediately after delivery 3/ evaluate prevention to develop or worsening 4/ for symptomatic patients we investigate innovative conservative, laser or operational treatment including implant materials.
