Department of Medical Psychology 3FM CU invites you to a lecture and discussion
The debate on euthanasia is often influenced by strong emotions and passionate clashes of opinion, yet it often lacks a deeper reflection on real-world practice and available data. What are the real experiences from countries where euthanasia is legal? What impact does it have on the healthcare system, patients and their families? And how does it affect the physicians themselves?
You are invited to a lecture by Prof. Claudia Gamondi, who will present the results of her research on this topic as well as her clinical experience from a country where assisted suicide is legal.
A panel discussion with palliative care experts will follow:
MUDr. Adam Houska, Ph.D. - Head Physician of the Palliative Team, UHKV
PhDr. Martin Loučka, Ph.D. - Head of the Department of Medical Psychology, 3FM CU
Date: Venue: Intended for: |
April 22 at 16:30 Burian Lecture Hall students (not only of medical faculties), healthcare professionals, and all those interested in the topic. |
