MUDr. Barbara Ukropcová, PhDWe would like to invite you to the next lecture from the Medicine as a Science cycle with Professor MUDr. Barbara Ukropcova, PhD from the Institute of Experimental Endocrinology of Slovak Academy of Sciences. Professor Ukropcova graduated from Faculty of Medicine in Comenius University in Bratislava with specialization in internal medicine. At the moment she works as a professor of Clinical Pathophysiology Department at Comenius University and as a senior researcher in Slovak Academy of Sciences, with the main point of interest in integrative physiology and energetic metabolism related to chronic diseases such as obesity or exercise.
The topic for the lecture will be: Can we slow down processes of ageing? Effects of regular exercise on metabolism, physical fitness, motor and cognitive functions in the elderly.
