Oxford Clinical Elective Programme

Benjamin Špányi, one of our 6th-year students, is writing us from Oxford: “Thank you 3LF and Charles University for the support and funding from the Internationalization Fond and Mobility Fond which allowed me to apply for the Oxford Clinical Elective Programme, held by the University of Oxford in the UK. I spent 2 months at the cardiology clinic at Oxford Heart Centre of John Radcliffe Hospital. The internship has provided me not only with a chance to test and hone my theoretical and practical skills but also given great insight into the newest research and state-of-the-art technology developed in Oxford. From daily work at the department, shadowing in cath labs, to 1-on-1 sessions at the consulting rooms, the stay in Oxford was as fruitful and inspirational as one would imagine. Of course, I couldn´t ignore the beauty of Oxford as a historical city. Thank you again for the opportunity to add this one-in-a-lifetime experience to my CV and future career.”
