Falling Walls Lab 2024 Finale + Innovation Day Invitation

Dear PhD students and researchers,

on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 5 p.m. at the National Library of Technology in Prague (Technická 2710/6, Praha 6), the 9th edition of the international competition Falling Walls Lab Czech Republic will take place. The aim of the competition is to bring together the next generation of great scientists and innovators to come up with a breathtaking idea - a scientific project, a business plan or a social initiative that will break down all walls and barriers.

2/ This time we also organize a Falling Walls Innovation Day focused on research and innovation – It will take place on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 9 a.m. at the National Library of Technology in Prague (Technická 2710/6, Praha 6). Feel free to join us. Participants and finalists of Falling Walls Lab 2024 and previous years are kind invited. The Falling Wall Innovation Day is also open for all PhD students and researcher.

Program of the Innovation Day

9:00-12:30 Presentations and workshop about research and innovation in Czechia and Germany. The participants will learn tips to technology transfer and science communication.

The event will be joined by Christian Scheffler, technology transfer expert from the University of Leipzig, Prof. Dr. Diane Robers, expert on Service Innovation and Corporate Entrepreneurship at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht (Wiesbaden) and Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung (München),

Prof. Dr. Thomas Groll, Professor for Strategic Management and International Management at OTH Hochschule (Regensburg), Ulrike Michel-Schneider and Pavla Hubálková, science journalist (WIRED).
